Horsetail injury
Fracture and dislocation below the second lumbar spine can cause cauda equina injury. It is rare for a horsetail to rupture completely, which can lead to loss of sensory motor reflex below the level of injury and bladder weakness. If the pony tail is completely ruptured, or sutured after the rupture, nerve regeneration can completely or mostly restore function.
