Chronic pulmonary heart disease: refers to increased pulmonary circulation resistance caused by chronic lesions of the lungs, thorax, or pulmonary arteries, which leads to pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular hypertrophy. Finally, heart disease with right heart failure occurs, referred to as pulmonary heart disease. Its clinical features include cough, sputum, palpitations after exercise, dyspnea, lower limb edema, X-rays showing emphysema, pulmonary artery dilation, and echocardiography showing enlargement of the right atrium or right ventricle. The course of the disease is slow. Firstly, the patient has a long history of chronic cough, sputum or asthma, and gradually develops fatigue and dyspnea. Secondly, palpitations, exacerbations, and cyanosis appear. Especially in the case of acute respiratory infection, the ventilation disorder is further exacerbated. This causes hypoxia and carbon dioxide retention and leads to respiratory failure and heart failure. This disease is relatively common in China. According to statistics in recent years, the average prevalence of pulmonary heart disease is 0.41% -0.47%. The prevalence of the disease is more than 40 years old, and the prevalence increases with age. Acute attacks are more common in winter and spring. Acute respiratory infections are often the cause of acute attacks, often leading to lung and heart failure, with a higher mortality rate.
