Patella softening
Patellar osteomalacia (CP), also known as patella osteomalacia, patella osteochondritis, is a common knee joint disease that occurs in young adults. It is especially common among athletes and sports enthusiasts. The incidence is higher in women than in men. The main pathological changes are degenerative changes of cartilage, including swelling, fragmentation, and shedding of cartilage. Finally, the same lesions in the corresponding part of femoral condyle also develop into osteoarthritis of patellofemoral joint.
