Progressive dementia
Syndrome caused by slow-onset progressive brain disease. The course of disease was progressive. It is characterized by a variety of advanced cortical dysfunctions involving memory, thinking, orientation, comprehension, calculation, judgment, speech and learning ability. Clear consciousness, poor emotional self-control, social or motivational decline are often accompanied by cognitive impairment, but can sometimes occur before cognitive impairment.
