Corneal ulcers often occur due to foreign body trauma, traumatic injury after removal of corneal foreign body, trachoma and its complications, inversion of the cornea due to cataract, bacterial, viral or fungal invasion. In addition, corneal ulcers can be caused by allergies caused by tuberculosis, vitamin A deficiency, facial paralysis, and poor lid closure due to eyelid scars.
