Upper abdominal pain when hungry
Upper abdominal pain when starving is a clinical manifestation of duodenal ulcer. The pain appears in the center of the upper abdomen, just above the umbilicus or just to the right of the midline. Typical duodenal ulcer pain usually occurs 2-3 hours after a meal (fasting pain) and continues unabated until it is relieved after eating or taking an antacid.
