Anal itching

Anal pruritus (peritus ani, PA) is a common symptom with many causes. Pruritus confined to the anus is mostly related to anal and rectal diseases or secondary to anorectal diseases. Local inflammation and congestion increase skin circulation and temperature. Rise, buttocks are difficult to dissipate heat, which promotes increased excretion of sweat, wet and soak, causing discomfort and itching. Anal pruritus in children is predominantly ascariasis.
