Hemoglobin C Crystal Inclusion Body Test

In hemoglobin C (HbC) disease, in addition to target red blood cells accounting for 40% to 90%, hexagonal and rod-shaped crystals can still be seen, especially after slow dry blood slices and splenectomy. After incubation with 3% sodium chloride solution, crystal inclusions were found in almost every red blood cell.
