Submandibular lymphadenopathy
Swelling of the submandibular lymph nodes due to inflammation of the mouth and pharynx. Lymph node enlargement refers to a condition in which the diameter of the lymph node is more than 1.5 cm, the shape of the lymph node is changed, and the texture is abnormal. The symptoms may be acute lymphadenitis, and the milder ones are only mild swelling of the local lymph nodes and mild tenderness. They often occur in the submandibular, neck, axillary, groin, etc., and generally heal without treatment. The local lymph nodes are swollen, accompanied by redness, swelling, heat, pain, and fever. If left untreated, they can develop from acute lymphadenitis to abscesses.
