Mouth pain
The anterior wall of the mouth is the lip, which opens to the outside through the mouth; the posterior part of the pharynx extends to the oropharynx; the sides are the cheeks; the upper and lower walls are composed of the palate and the sublingual area. Oral organs include soft tissues such as the lips, cheeks, tongue, palate, gums, and floor of the mouth, and hard tissues such as the maxilla, mandible, teeth, and temporomandibular joint. Oral pain is the pain that occurs in the above-mentioned oral organs. It is the most common clinical symptom in stomatology and it is often the main reason for patients to seek medical treatment.
