Liver fricative
During the examination, the palm of the right hand was lightly pressed against the liver area, and the patient was allowed to perform abdominal breathing. There is no friction under the palm when normal. In perihepatitis, the liver surface and adjacent peritoneum can be roughened by fibrous exudates. The friction between the two can be felt by the hand, which is the feeling of friction in the liver area. As mentioned earlier, the friction sound of the liver area can also be heard during auscultation. Hepatic friction sounds were even audible on the surface of the liver, suggesting that the liver membrane was invaded by the tumor.
