Otogenic vertigo

Otogenic vertigo: refers to vertigo caused by abnormal vestibular labyrinthine sensation. When the labyrinth of water (Ménière syndrome), motion sickness (sickness of the car), labyrinthitis, labyrinthine bleeding or poisoning, vestibular neuritis or damage, middle ear infection, etc. can cause disorders of body balance and dizziness. Due to the close connection between the vestibular nucleus and the oculomotor nucleus through the medial tract, nystagmus often occurs when the vestibular apparatus is pathologically stimulated.
