Metaphyseal fracture reduction and plate screw fixation

Applicable to those with metacarpal fractures. Metaphyseal fracture reduction and plate fixation: 1. Aseptic technique should be strictly performed during operation, which is the key to prevent infection. Protect the incision with a protective film or sterilized "sock cover" after disinfecting the towel to isolate the incision from the surrounding skin. Try to avoid fingers touching the incision or reaching into the joint to prevent contamination. 2. If there are no contraindications, an inflatable tourniquet should be used during the operation to reduce bleeding and clear the anatomical level to facilitate the operation. However, the time of each use should not exceed 1 hour, and the bleeding should be carefully stopped after loosening the tourniquet. 3. After reduction of the fracture end, check the alignment of the fracture end before suture incision. Intra-articular fractures should be radiographed. If unsatisfactory reduction is found, reduction and internal fixation should be performed again.
