Hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy
Endometrial polyps are a common cause of abnormal uterine bleeding and infertility. The usual treatment is blind curettage, but often encounters problems that cannot be removed. Hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy is performed under direct vision, which can be "targeted" with forceps and polyps removed from the root pedicle. For pedicled polyps, ring electrodes are often used for resection without damaging the surrounding normal endometrium. Regardless of the method used, it must be ensured that the root pedicle is completely removed to avoid future recurrence.
