Impacted tooth extraction
Impacted teeth are teeth that can only partially or completely fail to emerge due to obstacles to adjacent teeth, bones, or soft tissues, and will not emerge in the future. The main cause of tooth impaction is that with human evolution, the degradation of the jawbone is inconsistent with the degradation of the tooth mass, resulting in a bone mass that is relatively smaller than the tooth mass, and the jawbone lacks sufficient space to accommodate all permanent teeth. Common impacted teeth are the maxillary third molar and the maxillary canine, which are commonly known as "wisdom teeth" and "tiger teeth". Clinically, mandibular wisdom teeth are the most common in impacted teeth.
