Mediastinal infection

Mediastinal infections are classified into primary and secondary infections. Primary mediastinal infection is a clinical diagnosis that is not very precise, and a small number of cases have been converted from acute mediastinal infection after treatment. Secondary mediastinal infections are usually caused by staphylococci.
