Tibia osteotomy

The tibia is superficial in position, and its anterior medial side is flat and wide. It is suitable for taking bone plate for super bone graft or embedded bone graft. However, when the tibial bones are not connected, it is better not to take bones from the opposite healthy lower limbs, so as to avoid affecting the healthy limbs due to postoperative complications. Bone can be taken directly from the diseased bone. The tibia bone plate has the advantages of hard texture and good internal fixation, and is most suitable for treating bone defects and fracture nonunion. The disadvantage is that the crawling replacement process is slower and the postoperative fixation time is longer. To shorten the healing time, cancellous bone transplantation can be performed at the same time. When a small amount of cancellous bone is needed, you can scrape the tibial condyle while taking the tibial bone plate, but care should be taken not to hurt the epiphyseal or articular surface.
