Ring pancreas surgery
The circular pancreas is a congenital malformation. During embryonic development, because the tip of the ventral pancreatic primordium is fixed, it cannot rotate with the duodenum to the left and a band of pancreatic tissue is left, which partially or completely surrounds the first or second segment of the duodenum. The resulting narrowing of the intestinal lumen led to a series of clinical signs [Figure 1].
