Sphenoid sinus surgery

Diseases of the sphenoid sinus are not uncommon. The inflammation of the sphenoid sinus often coexists with the inflammation of the ethmoid sinus in the posterior group. Sphenoid sinus cysts and sphenoid sinus mycosis have also been identified. Early sphenoid sinus disease has no characteristic clinical manifestations. Due to the advancement of radiological diagnostics, especially after ct and mr are used in the clinic, the discovery of sphenoid sinus disease has also increased. The treatment of sphenoid sinus disease is mainly surgical treatment. The purpose is to eradicate the lesion and open the sinus cavity to achieve ventilation and drainage.
