Pancreatic embryonic antigen
Pancreatic oncotetal antigen (POA) was first discovered in Banwo in 1974. In recent years, the monoclonal antibody was used to establish the IRMA method to determine serum POA content. Pancreatic embryo antigen is an antigen raised by the fetal pancreas. POA exists in serum as a compound with a molecular weight of 9000 kD, but it can still be degraded into components with a molecular weight of 40 kD. It does not have any known plasma protein carriers, it is not affected by DNase and RNase, but can be hydrolyzed by trypsin, papain or pepsin.
