Fibrous membrane
Fibrous membrane wrap, also called "abdominal cocoon", was named in 1978 and is a relatively rare disease in abdominal surgery. It is characterized in that all or part of the small intestine is surrounded by a layer of dense, gray-white, tough, hard and thick fibrous membrane. Because of its different etiology, clinical manifestations are different, and the understanding is also inconsistent, it has been reported as "small intestine silkworm cocoon encapsulation, congenital small intestinal confinement, small intestine stage fibrous encapsulation, intracapsular adhesion intestinal obstruction", etc.
