Cerebrospinal fluid thyrotropin
Cerebrospinal fluid thyrotropin is a glycoprotein composed of two subunits. It is synthesized by the pituitary basophils and has a molecular weight of 28,000 Daltons. It can promote the synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormone (T4) and triiodothyronine ( T3). TSF concentration in CSF was positively correlated with blood, the former accounting for about 54% of the latter.
