Vanadium
Vanadium is a mineral that may be necessary for normal growth. Vanadium has multiple valence states, and the biologically significant are the tetravalent and pentavalent states. Tetravalent vanadium is an oxanadium-based cation, which is easy to combine with proteins to form complexes and prevent oxidation. Vanadate is reduced by vitamin C, glutathione or NADH. Its role in human health is still not clear in the nutrition and medical fields, and it is still in the process of further exploration, but it can be determined that vanadium has an important role.
