Excessive tear secretion
Excessive tear secretion is the result of hyperfunction of the lacrimal gland, but the meaning of tearing and tear overflow caused by it is different. Under normal circumstances, there is no adverse reaction except that tears are constantly irritating. A few patients may be complicated by conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and eczema of the lower eyelid.
