Serum glycylproline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase

Hopsu-Havu and Glenner first discovered and isolated Glycyl-proline-dipeptidyl aminopeptidase (GPDA) from the commercial enzyme preparation Acylase I in 1966. The rat liver and rat were confirmed afterwards GPDA is present in tissues including kidney, pig kidney, human and various animal serum, human salivary glands and saliva, dental pulp and gums of cattle and humans. GPDA content in human submandibular glands is quite abundant.
