Abdominal pulsation test
Abdominal pulsation examination is an auxiliary diagnosis to check whether the abdominal organs are functioning properly and the diseases they produce. Abdominal pulsations are divided into pulsations in the upper abdomen and other places. The condition and clinical significance of pulsations in each part are different. A pulsatile mass found in the abdomen may have diseases such as abdominal aortic aneurysm and acute suppurative appendicitis. Aneurysms are localized bulges due to lesions or damage to the arterial wall. The main symptom is a pulsating mass, which can occur anywhere in the arterial system. Main limb arteries, abdominal aorta, and carotid arteries are more common.
