Erythrocyte chromatin body

The cells contained purple-red round bodies, varying in size and number. This body may be an abnormal chromatin that appears during the mitotic process of young red blood cells, or a residual part of nuclear chromatin. It is common in hemolytic anemia, megaloblastic anemia, after splenectomy, red leukemia or other proliferative anemia.
