C. trachomatis IgM and IgG

After Chlamydia trachomatis infection, specific IgM antibodies can be detected in the serum and tears of patients, and a positive result indicates a recent infection with Chlamydia trachomatis, which can make an early diagnosis. The IgG antibody appears late and lasts a long time. The positive of this antibody can be used for retrospective diagnosis and epidemiological investigation.
