Motion sickness

Introduction

Introduction When riding a car or a boat, it is subjected to vibration and shaking. The inner ear can not adapt and adjust the balance of the body well, and the sympathetic nerve excitability is enhanced by renal dysfunction, causing motion sickness such as dizziness and vomiting. Motion sickness is called "motion sickness" or "sports disease" in medicine. Motion sickness is a general term for motion sickness, seasickness, airsickness, etc. It is directly related to the vestibular balance receptor in our inner ear.

Cause

Cause

Exactly speaking, sports disease is not a real disease. It is different from the usual disease. It is only an emergency response of sensitive body to over-limit stimulation. Dizziness and even vomiting while riding a car. Some people in life often feel dizzy after sitting in the car, the upper abdomen is uncomfortable, nausea, cold sweat, and even vomiting; especially when the car is suddenly braked, sharply turned or suddenly started, the car can be gradually relieved after a short break. Or restore. Some people with this motion sickness can last for a few days.

External cause:

1. When the incoming balance stimulus is too strong, such as sudden braking, severe rotation, even in the safe and normal state of the balance system, people will feel dizzy, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. However, some people have poor tolerance and have a strong response to mild balance stimuli.

2. It is easy to happen when sleep is poor and overworked.

3. It is also easy to happen when you are full of hunger.

4. can occur when suffering from certain ear diseases.

5. The compartment is closed so that the air does not circulate, or the smell of some substances is stimulated, such as gasoline.

6. When you see the car, there is a serious conditioned reflex. Seeing or thinking about the car (especially the bus) will cause motion sickness.

Internal cause:

1. Individuals have different sensitivities.

2. Psychological reasons.

3. Lack of vitamin b1.

When sitting, your head should be close to the fixed seat back or object to avoid a large swing. The environment should be quiet and the ventilation should be good. At the same time, you must apply Chinese medicine Foshan Wanying cream, active oil, etc. on the temples on both sides of Yintang or the head, or apply it to the belly button.

Diagnosis

Differential diagnosis

(A) central position vertigo: common in the fourth ventricle tumor and vascular lesions of the brain, may have headache, nausea, vomiting and other positive neurological signs. Frequent spontaneous nystagmus, postural test nystagmus lasts for more than 30 seconds, no incubation period, no fatigue, CT and MRI can be further diagnosed.

(B) vestibular neuritis: sudden onset, can last for several days, the cold and heat test is reduced, there is a history of upper respiratory tract infection, blood leukocytes slightly increased.

(C) cervical spondylosis: cervical vertebra hyperplasia, can compress the vertebral artery or stimulate the cervical sympathetic nerve and cause vertebral artery spasm, so that the vestibular blood supply is insufficient, more common in adults over 40 years old, vertigo attacks and specific head and neck position. Often combined with other vertebral artery insufficiency symptoms, such as headache, visual impairment and upper limb numbness. X-ray of the cervical spine can be seen in the 4th to 6th cervical vertebrae with bone hyperplasia or other deformities.
