Inflammatory cell infiltration

Introduction

Introduction Inflammatory cell infiltration refers to the accumulation of a certain amount of inflammatory cells (such as neutrophils, acidic granulocytes, etc.) in the interstitial tissue, which is generally a manifestation of an inflammatory response.

Cause

Cause

The cause of inflammatory cell infiltration

Inflammatory cells are white blood cell components that actively swim from living blood vessels during inflammation. Including neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes and monocytes, but also include plasma cells, platelets and other components.

Examination of inflammatory cell infiltration

Can be seen in chronic persistent hepatitis, the liver is mostly larger than normal (ie, there is swelling), the quality is soft. There are three types of mirror changes.

(1) Chronic lobular hepatitis: mainly hepatocyte degeneration, necrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration in the lobular. The change in the catchment area is not obvious.

(2) Chronic septal hepatitis: mild hepatocyte degeneration and necrosis, accompanied by inflammatory cell infiltration in the lobule. The fibrous tissue in the portal area extends into the lobes to form a space with few inflammatory cells and no false leaflets.

(3) Chronic portal hypertension: hepatocyte degeneration is mild, with a few punctiform necrosis, occasionally eosinophilic bodies. Most inflammatory cells infiltrate in the portal area, resulting in an increase in the area of the portal. However, the unbounded plate is destroyed or the debris is necrotic.

Identification of confusing symptoms of inflammatory cell infiltration

1. For the same type of inflammation, the types of inflammatory cells in different tissues are also consistent. In general, white blood cells in the blood and bone marrow are not called inflammatory cells because they are in blood vessels.

2. Acute inflammatory cells generally refer to neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils, but other inflammatory components such as lymphocytes and monocytes may also be present. Chronic inflammatory cells mainly refer to lymphocytes and monocytes.
