arterial island flap

Suitable for upper and lower eyelid reconstruction. Treating diseases: eye diseases Indication Suitable for upper and lower eyelid reconstruction. Preoperative preparation The superficial temporal artery and branches were marked with gentian violet. The distance between the blood vessel and the defect portion of the eye is measured, and the length of the skin incision is determined. The size and shape of the desired flap are indicated at the distal end of the incision line. Surgical procedure 1. The side of the superficial temporal artery branch of the superficial temporal artery is parallel cut, the skin and subcutaneous tissue are cut, and the mosquito vascular clamp is carefully and bluntly separated to fully separate the soft tissue around the artery, vein and its accompanying blood vessels. 2. The fascia was cut in parallel at 5 mm on both sides of the blood vessel, and the fascia fascia at the bottom of the blood vessel was separated and advanced along the distal end of the blood vessel to continue separation. During the operation, the small branches of the blood vessel are carefully ligated and cut off. When the forehead flap is to be separated, the isolated superficial temporal artery branch is separated from the frontal flap. 3. A subcutaneous tunnel was made between the free iliac arteriovenous pedicle and the orbital defect wound, and the arterial island flap was passed through the subcutaneous tunnel to the eye defect wound. Note that the pedicle blood vessels should not be distorted. The flap was appropriately trimmed according to the size and shape of the eye defect, and the wound edge of the ocular defect was cut open. The artery island flap was sutured to the orbital defect according to the design requirements. If the patient keeps the eye, use the conjunctiva or the oral mucosa as a lining. If the patient's eyeball has been removed, a free medium-thickness skin can be used as a lining. The skin incision of the superficial temporal artery was sutured. If the wound in the forehead area is not able to be sutured, it will be repaired with medium-thickness skin. Place the tonic in the conjunctival sac.
