Teardrop red blood cells
Poikilocylosis: refers to the situation in which the erythrocyte morphology changes significantly, which can be teardrop-shaped, pear-shaped, stick-shaped, crescent-shaped, etc. It is most common in megaloblastic anemia. The appearance of red blood cells is teardrop-shaped or pear-shaped, and is positively pigmented.
