Light sensitivity test

Photosensitivity test is a test to measure the sensitivity to sunlight. It is a test of the intensity of the immune system response to sunlight. Common diseases caused by light sensitivity—photosensitive dermatitis include solar urticaria, chemical photosensitivity dermatitis, and pleomorphic solar rash. It is characterized by a pruritic, sudden rash in areas exposed to sunlight. This light-sensitive constitution can be inherited. Common diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and polyporphyria can also develop after exposure to sunlight.
