Papillary muscle insufficiency
Papillary muscle insufficiency refers to the papillary muscle attached to the atrioventricular valve chordae due to ischemia, necrosis, fibrosis or other reasons, causing contractile dysfunction, resulting in mitral valve insufficiency and mitral valve regurgitation.
