Urine sediment epithelial cells
Epithelial cells seen in the urine were gently dropped from the renal tubules, renal pelvis, ureters, bladder, and urethra. The renal tubules are cubic epithelium, which can appear in the urine when the renal parenchyma is damaged. The renal pelvis, ureter, and bladder are all covered with transitional epithelial cells. The urethra is a pseudo-stratified columnar epithelial cell, and the near-urethral product is covered by a flat field epithelial cell. When there are lesions in these areas, the corresponding increase in epithelial cells also occurs in the urine. Prostate cells are occasionally seen in men's urine.
