Blood pH
Blood pH is the negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration. Arterial blood is usually measured without exposure to air. It has a significant impact on life activities. The progress of intracellular biochemical changes, growth and distribution, and the growth of bacteria and viruses, wound healing, and cell-to-cell adhesion are all affected by blood pH. Human blood pH is relatively constant. Danger to life occurs when the blood pH is below 6.9 or exceeds 7.7.
