Pediatric infectious mononucleosis

Infectious mononucleosis (leaflet) is an acute infectious disease mainly caused by EB virus that invades the lymphatic system. The clinical manifestations are "triple sign" of fever, angina, and lymphadenopathy. Lymphocytes in the blood are increased and atypical lymphatics are present. EB virus antibodies can be detected in the serum.
