Erythrocytosis fundus
Polycythemia is a blood disease in which there is an increase in red blood cells and hemoglobin in the blood, and an increase in blood volume. Vaquez was first described in 1892. In 1903 Osler made further research on the disease, so it was also called Vaquez-Osler disease. There are three types of primary, compensatory and secondary. Primary is polycythemia vera. It is rare in China, and it is generally believed that it is caused by bone marrow hematopoietic function, but its exact etiology and pathogenesis are unclear. Most of them occur at the age of 35 to 65, with slightly more men than women; the onset is slow and concealed, and symptoms can begin to appear after a few years. Some cases have no sensation and were found by accident during blood tests.
