Leukemia kidney damage

Leukemia is a malignant proliferative disease of leukocytes. When cancer cells enter the bloodstream, they infiltrate and destroy other system tissues and organs. Leukemia can cause kidney damage (leukemia nephropathy). The kidney is the third easily infiltrated organ of acute leukemia. It is mainly caused by direct infiltration of leukemia cells or metabolites. It can also damage the kidney through immune reactions and electrolyte disorders. For acute renal failure, chronic renal insufficiency, nephritis syndrome or nephrotic syndrome.
