Congenital aortic stenosis in children
Congenital aortic stenosis (CAS), which accounts for about 6th in the incidence of congenital heart disease, is caused by the fusion of embryonic aortic valves with various deformities, such as single leaf valve, double leaf valve, triple valve Leaf or four-leaf, most commonly bilobal. The leaflets are thickened and the annulus is poorly developed, causing the valve orifice to be narrowed.
