Urogenital amoebiasis
Urogenital amoebiasis is a disease caused by histolytic amoeba infection, which is rare in clinical practice. It mainly occurs in homosexual (anal) and heterosexual (oral) people, and manifests as penile amebiasis. In addition, amoebiasis can also affect the kidney, bladder, testes, epididymis, and seminal vesicles, causing local inflammation. Renal amoebiasis is usually caused by the amoebic liver abscess that penetrates to the right kidney to form the amoebic abscess around the kidney, and then penetrates the renal pelvis; it can also infect the kidney with the blood circulation or lymphatic system.
