Subacute necrotizing myelitis
Subacute necrotizing myelitis was first proposed by Foix and Alajouanine in 1926, so it is also called Foix-Alajouanine syndrome (FAS). Clinically, it is characterized by progressive spinal cord injury caused by spinal cord blood supply disorders. It is a special type of chronic spinal radiculitis. Probably the most common cause is intradural arteriovenous malformation.
