Maxillary retraction

Maxillary retraction refers to the maxillary retraction, the position of the lower jaw is basically normal, the anterior teeth are recombined, and the posterior teeth are mesial. Maxillary retraction is caused by premature loss of deciduous molars, posterior teeth forward, and maxillary anterior teeth backwards, resulting in anterior teeth recombination and posterior mesial teeth; maxillary retraction is due to hypoplasia of the maxillary bone, congenital loss of the anterior teeth or lateral incision The ectopic side of the dentition causes anterior teeth recombination, and posterior teeth are neutral or near-neutral. As for the maxillary retraction caused by cleft palate, most of the anterior and posterior teeth are inversely combined, and the posterior teeth are nearly intermediate.
