Mental disorders associated with chromosomal abnormalities
Human autosomal abnormalities are often accompanied by obvious physical deformities and severe mental retardation. Sex chromosomal abnormalities are more likely to cause mental disorders. In addition to certain physical characteristics, some patients with sexual chromosomal abnormalities have mild intellectual deficits or abnormalities in mental and personality development, which are prone to behavioral deviations, social adaptation difficulties, and even mental disorders. Because some of these patients' physical signs are not obvious, they do not attract the attention of patients or their families, but sometimes they often go to the psychiatric department first because of mental symptoms.
