Scalp infection

Scalp infection is mostly caused by improper treatment after the injury, and infection often occurs in the subcutaneous tissue layer. If it is not handled properly, the patient's scalp may become necrotic, or deep erosion may cause skull osteomyelitis, epidural empyema, and even subdural effusion and brain abscess.
