Distal renal tubular acidosis
Distal renal tubular acidosis, also known as classic RTA (DRTA, Type I RTA), is a disease due to distal renal tubular hydrogen dysfunction, decreased urinary NH4 and titratable acid excretion. Its clinical features are hypertubular metabolic acidosis, hypokalemia, hypocalcemia, hyponatremia, inability to urinate the urine (pH 6) and other renal tubular acidosis (RTA) is a syndrome.
