Ruptured colon
Colon perforation caused by external force is called colon rupture, and the clinical manifestations are abdominal pain, bloating and bacterial peritonitis. The incidence of smaller intestines is low, because the colon contents contain less liquid components and more bacteria, so peritonitis appears later but is more serious. A part of the colon is located behind the peritoneum, which is easily missed after an injury, often resulting in severe retroperitoneal infections.
