Flutter

Flutter of the Diaphragm refers to paroxysmal or persistent spasms of the diaphragm, accompanied by sudden closing of the glottis during the inspiratory period, which produces a short and strange sound that is uncontrollable. According to the severity of spasm, it can be divided into Hiccup, Phrenospasm, and diaphragm flutter. Diaphragmatic flutter is rare. When it occurs, the diaphragm has extremely fast and rhythmic contractions, which can reach 100 to 300 times per minute.
