Primary mediastinal tumor

Primary mediastinal tumors include tumors and cysts produced by various tissues and structures located in the mediastinum. Thymoma is the most common primary mediastinal tumor, followed by neurogenic tumors and teratomas: others such as cysts, thyroid glands, and bronchial cysts are relatively rare. Most of these tumors are benign, but they may be malignant.
