Rheumatic anemia

Rheumatism is also known as connective tissue disease, and the clinical manifestations are often anemia. About half of the patients develop mild or moderate anemia during the course of the disease. Most of them are chronic anemia, and a few are autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA).
